The early childhood educator is responsible for providing developmentally appropriate programs that are aligned with state norms, while effectively addressing the needs of Infants to Pre-School children in a childcare center environment. Adapting the program to suit the needs of the individual child or group. Consistently planning innovative ways of keeping children actively engaged. Imparting knowledge to children through fun and play. Ensuring the social and emotional growth of the child. Addressing the physical needs of the individual child or group. Composing daily highlights and taking pictures for parents and the social media platforms of the school Lesson Planning Keeping a safe and clean environment for students. Meeting with Director and/or Owner to discuss professional development. Adhering to the guidelines of Open Arms Child Care Center and DCFS standards. Participating in ongoing Professional Development courses Early Childhood Educator Requirements: CDA in early childhood development. Associates Degree or higher in Childhood Development (preferred) Proof of education Minimum of 1 year experience in the field. Will have to receive Physcial, TB test, and First Aid Certifcation upon hire. Will have to complete IL Gateways/iLearning Trainings/Continuing Education as assigned.
