JOB Provides quality early childhood services to children by planning, supervising, and implementing an educational program in line with the philosophy and curriculum of Children's Developmental Services of Campbell County following National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation and Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP). Provides education to children, planning, preparing, and implementing activities and providing adaptations for children with special needs. Assesses student development progress. Communicates with parents and family. Supervises staff. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.Supervises the work of assigned personnel, including assigning and reviewing work, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations.Plans, prepares, and implements essential curricular activities to meet specific needs of the class. Provides adaptations for children with special needs based on the carry-over of IEP goals.Assesses and documents student development progress throughout the year. Uses classroom observations to assess developmental progress on each child in order to adapt activities to meet student’s needs. Performs developmental hearing and vision screenings. Communicates with parents and conducts parent teacher conferences annually per child. Facilitates collaboration meetings and attends IEP meetings. Attends trainings, online webinars, and workshops. Participates in book studies for professional development. Serves on committees, as required.Performs related duties as required.
