Job Description
Our early childhood center is looking for a Teacher Assistant/Floater who can work well with a team and help enhance the learning environment for our students. The ideal candidate for this position enjoys working with children, understands how they learn and is dedicated to creating a nurturing learning atmosphere for every student. Candidate is able to work with infant/toddler/2's as needed. Tasks: Collaborate with teachers to monitor the development of each child Understand the teacher's routine when it comes to delivering a lesson plan and running the class in the event that the teacher is absent on a particular day Work with children in the classroom to promote their learning and development Communicate with parents and keep them informed about their child's development and any changes to the regular day-to-day schedule Maintain daily cleaning and sanitizing of classrooms and equipment. Skills and Requirements: High school diploma/GED required (Associate degree preferred) Valid CDA certification preferred 2+ years' experience as a Teacher Assistant preferred Excellent communication skills Compassionate attitude and strong understanding of child development Nurturing teaching approach Flexible, team player, and dependable Work Schedule: 8:15am-5:15pm Benefits: Paid time off Two weeks of on-the-job training Hours per week: 30-39 Overtime often available: Yes Typical end time: Typical start time Job Types: Part-time, Full-time Pay: From $17.00 per hour Benefits Paid time off Experience: Childcare: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person
