EHS Coordinator Entry Level

North American Forest Products is hiring and seeking a highly motivated individual to add to their growing Environmental, Health and Safety Department. The EHS Coordinator will work under the direction of the Environmental, Health and Safety Director to grow their knowledge and gain experience while working with Safety Teams inside the facilities to continue the goal of establishing and maintaining a safety culture. Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to; · Assisting in creating and the implementation of EHS programs, policies and procedures throughout the company and adjust programs and procedures accordingly · Work to and communicate issues to the proper parties professionally with solutions to issues · Act as a resource for the sharing of regulatory requirements and best practices within Business Units · Lead safety related audits as needed · Review EHS concerns and safety committee recommendations and audits to help ensure closure of identified issues · Assisting with accident investigations and entering first injury reports throughout the company and creating corrective action plans and follow up on various claims · Working with management and Team Members on creating and implementing safety inspections for EHS Software. · Organize and conduct large and/or small EHS training classes as needed. · Other daily administrative and reporting tasks as assigned · Requirements · Strong interpersonal skills including honesty and integrity a required skill · Must have strong organizational skills with strong attention to detail · Strong written and oral communication skills. · Ability to communicate in a professional manner at all levels of the organization · Ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities throughout the day · Proficient report writing, documentation and record keeping · Must be comfortable speaking in front of large or small groups · Assist with coordination of safety and training programs for all employees within the business unit.
