Job Description
Position Overview: The EHS Coordinator provides on-site guidance and supports the implementation and execution of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs on electrical construction projects. This role assists project teams in maintaining compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and project-specific safety standards while promoting a strong safety culture. The EHS Coordinator may independently oversee safety on smaller projects or provide direct support to an EHS Manager on larger or more complex job sites. This role includes hazard identification, incident prevention, safety documentation, and employee engagement, ensuring work is performed safely and in compliance with company and regulatory standards, including those established by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Key Responsibilities: Support implementation of EHS programs on assigned electrical construction projects. Identify hazards and assist project teams in implementing effective risk mitigation strategies. Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and observations to verify compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Participate in and lead the development and maintenance of Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and other project safety documentation. Facilitate toolbox talks, safety orientations, and safety stand-downs for employees and subcontractors. Assist with and lead incident reporting and investigations, including documentation, identification of causal factors, and corrective action implementation. Provide oversight of high-risk work activities, including fall protection, lockout/tagout procedures, confined space entry, and other high-risk activities.
