Job Description
An industrial manufacturing organization is looking to add an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to support a site-based operation in the Lewisburg, PA area. This person will be tasked with leading safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and embedding strong EHS systems within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role sits on the site leadership team and partners closely with operations, HR, and plant leadership to drive measurable improvements in safety and environmental performance. It’s a strong opportunity for an experienced EHS leader to influence change and build sustainable programs with real impact. The Role Lead and evolve the site’s EHS culture, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local, and internal environmental and safety regulations within a manufacturing setting Serve as the site EHS subject matter expert, providing technical guidance on OSHA compliance, industrial hygiene, environmental programs, and emergency response Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs including training, audits, incident investigation, corrective actions, and regulatory reporting (air, water, waste, OSHA) Partner with site leadership to analyze safety and environmental metrics, identify risk trends, and drive proactive injury and incident reduction strategies Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and oversee inspections, audits, and ongoing compliance activities The Candidate Bachelor’s degree in an EHS-related discipline or engineering; advanced degree or professional certifications (ASP, CSP, CIH, CHMM, PE) preferred 3+ years of EHS experience within a manufacturing environment Demonstrated success leading safety culture change and influencing leaders and hourly team members at all levels Strong working knowledge of OSHA general industry standards, environmental permitting, and regulatory reporting requirements Effective communicator and leader with strong analytical skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to coach, influence, and drive accountability
