Job Description
A regional utilities provider and power generation company is seeking an EHS Manager based at one of their key locations in Baltimore, MD. This is a unionized facility with a diverse EHS footprint, where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and improve a broad variety of EHS programs, and drive positive EHS culture change for a proactive, committed organization. This role reports directly into a supportive Sr. EHS Director, and will manage one EHS Specialist as a direct report. The Role: Develop and implement EHS programs that successfully mitigate risk, improve compliance, and support the business performance goals Manage all environmental compliance, reporting and permitting, including for the facility's Title V air permit, as well as NPDES permits, hazardous waste management, SWPPP compliance, stormwater and wastewater management, etc. Conduct effective EHS audits with appropriate corrective action follow-ups; develop and manage the site emergency response and planning programs; conduct accident and incident investigations as needed with effective root cause analysis. Manage and mentor a more junior EHS Specialist as a direct report. Travel 5-10% of the time, to support other locations in the Mid-Atlantic region. The Candidate: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study (e.g. Environmental Sciences, EHS, Engineering, Chemistry, etc.) 5-8+ years of hands-on EHS experience, within industrial environments (e.g. Power Generation, O&G, Mining & Metals, Foundries, Chemical Manufacturing) Strong technical expertise with Title V and NPDES permitting Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and influence well at all levels of an organization
