EHS & QA Coordinator

Job Description SOUTH BAY SANDBLASTING & TANK CLEANING, INC. shipyard related subcontractor seeking a detail-oriented EHS & QA Coordinator to support our Navy Operations in Norfolk Virginia. Job Summary We're seeking an EHS & QA Coordinator with commitment to build and maintain a Safety Culture & Engagement between workers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading programs that protect people from environmental hazards and workplace hazards, while maintaining QA processes and procedures. Candidate can work in confined spaces and has no problem working long hours and weekends. Must be in Norfolk Virginia, we are not looking to relocate candidates at this time. Responsibilities: QA 40% Assist in implementing and maintain QA processes and procedures Coordinate QA inspections and testing Maintain QA records, reports, and certifications Support non-conforming material tracking and corrective actions Participate in continuous improvement initiatives EHS 40% Assist in implementing and maintaining EHS processes and procedures Coordinate EHS inspections Maintain EHS records, reports and certifications Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis Accomplish regular walkthroughs with production to ensure compliance Administrative 20% Provide administrative support in EHS and QA teams Maintain filing system, both physical and digital Assist in document control and revision management Train employees and enforce requirements Qualifications: Strong knowledge of health and safety best practices and legal requirements Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the workforce and managemen
