Reports To: Church Leadership / Board of Directors Position Summary The Director provides overall leadership and daily oversight for the school, ensuring a safe, nurturing, faith-based, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children. This role is responsible for program quality, staff leadership, family engagement, regulatory compliance, budget management, hiring, and staff retention. The Director serves as the primary leader for the helping build a strong team culture, maintain operational excellence, and support the mission of the church by creating a program where children, families, and staff feel valued, supported, and connected. Key Responsibilities Program Leadership & Operations Provide overall leadership for the ’s daily operations, classroom quality, and family experience Ensure classrooms operate in alignment with developmentally appropriate practices and the ’s faith-based mission Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff Develop and implement policies, procedures, schedules, and systems that support consistent program operations Monitor enrollment, classroom ratios, staffing needs, and program capacity Budget Management & Financial Oversight Develop, manage, and monitor the operating budget in partnership with church leadership Track expenses, staffing costs, tuition revenue, supplies, curriculum, food service, and facility-related needs Support tuition planning, enrollment projections, and financial sustainability of the program Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining program quality and compliance Provide regular budget updates, financial reports, and operational recommendations to leadership Hiring, Staff Leadership & Retention Lead recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training of staff Build a positive staff culture rooted in professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and care Provide coaching, feedback, classroom support, and performance guidance to teachers and aides Develop retention strategies that help staff feel supported, valued, and equipped to succeed Maintain appropriate staffing levels and help reduce turnover through strong communication, recognition, and development Support continuing education, professional development, and staff growth plans Compliance & Licensing Ensure the meets all applicable Georgia DECAL licensing requirements and church policies Maintain required documentation, staff files, child records, training records, inspections, and compliance materials Prepare for licensing visits, inspections, audits, and corrective actions as needed Ensure health, safety, supervision, emergency preparedness, and child protection procedures are consistently followed Family & Community Engagement Serve as a primary point of contact for families Build positive relationships with parents and communicate clearly regarding enrollment, child development, policies, and concerns Support marketing, enrollment growth, open houses, tours, and community outreach Help create a welcoming environment for young families, including families from diverse cultural and language backgrounds Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education Administration, or related field preferred Minimum of 5–10 years of early childhood education experience preferred Prior , childcare, or early learning leadership experience strongly preferred Must meet Georgia DECAL director qualifications and training requirements Experience managing budgets, staffing plans, enrollment, and program operations preferred Strong hiring, coaching, team-building, and staff retention skills Excellent communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving abilities Spanish-speaking ability is a plus Commitment to faith-based education and the mission of the church Preferred Skills Budget planning and financial accountability Staff recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and retention Georgia DECAL licensing knowledge Parent communication and conflict resolution Enrollment growth and family engagement Classroom quality improvement Team culture and people leadership Ability to lead with warmth, structure, professionalism, and spiritual care Pay: $44,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year Benefits Dental insurance Health insuran
