Job Overview: An Electrical Apprentice works under the supervision of licensed electricians to gain hands-on experience and knowledge in the field. Is responsible for performing a variety of electrical tasks including install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Electrical Apprentices earn between $25 - $34 per hour. Job Functions: Help install and repair wiring systems, electrical fixtures, and equipment. Installing conduits including bending, cutting and threading up to 4 inch diameter rigid steel to hold electrical wires and cables Replacing conduit, wiring, and circuit breakers as needed. Installing conductors, terminating (SES, panel boards, motor controls, PLC's, instruments, and junction boxes). Learn to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings, blueprints, and electrical codes. Have good basic understanding of NFPA70E and the NEC. Qualifications: Education : Must be enrolled in an accredited electrical apprenticeship program or willing to enroll once hired. PCL will sponsor you in an apprenticeship program.
