This role applies electrical engineering principles to deliver safe, reliable, code-compliant solutions; supports project execution from concept through commissioning; and partners cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and external vendors to improve performance, uptime, and efficiency. Detailed Roles & Responsibilities Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, and systems to meet operational, safety, and reliability requirements. Develop engineering deliverables such as one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, control narratives, equipment specifications, and installation standards. Direct or coordinate construction/installation, maintenance, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, applicable codes/standards, and customer requirements. Perform engineering calculations and analyses (e.g., load flow, short-circuit, arc flash inputs, grounding, conductor sizing, protective device coordination) to support design and safe operation. Use computer-assisted engineering/design tools (e.g., CAD/CAE) to complete design work, maintain drawings, and manage revisions. Support project planning and execution by developing scopes of work, estimates, schedules, and technical bid evaluations; track progress to ensure delivery on time and within budget. Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues through field investigations, data analysis, and root-cause problem solving; recommend and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors/contractors to evaluate existing systems, propose upgrades, and improve operating efficiency. Inspect completed installations and observe equipment operation/commissioning to verify conformance to design intent and operational/safety standards. Prepare technical reports, documentation, and lessons learned for engineering studies and completed projects. Support change management and continuous improvement initiatives including reliability, energy efficiency, and lifecycle cost reduction. Promote a strong safety culture by following established safety practices and participating in hazard reviews and risk assessments. Working knowledge of electrical codes and standards applicable to the role (e.g., NEC/NFPA 70; NFPA 70E; IEEE and ANSI standards as applicable). Experience creating and maintaining electrical drawings and documentation (one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams). Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and coordinate with operations/maintenance to implement safe, effective solutions. Experience working with vendors/contractors, technical procurement, and field execution/commissioning support. Preferred: Experience with medium-voltage distribution, motor control centers (MCCs), VFDs, PLC/controls integration, instrumentation, and reliability programs. Preferred: Experience with power system analysis and/or arc flash studies using industry tools. Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification. Preferred: Experience in designing EV charging systems, including AC and DC fast‑charging infrastructure. Knowledge of power distribution, gro
