Position Summary Are you ready to make a meaningful impact by applying your electrical engineering expertise in a dynamic and collaborative environment? As an Electrical Engineer at GSK, you will support the consistent delivery of electrical facilities and services in the New England Region, ensuring compliance with GSK Engineering Standards and local or federal regulations. This role aims to achieve cost, quality, and compliance metrics through effective management and collaboration with key contract partners. Responsibilities This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following: Identify and implement improvements, design changes and modifications to electrical/mechanical systems to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable operations Act as Technical Authority for GSK Engineering Standards applicable to electrical / fire protection systems and hazardous areas Manage improvement programs in response to audit findings, CAPA, Engineering/EHS alerts, preventable disruptions, and sustainability objectives Execute facility gap assessments against GSK Engineering Policies and Standards and collaborate with site personnel to bring awareness to electrical safety and safe systems of work Manage risk mitigation plans / actions in VQMS and EHS One to ensure gaps from engineering assessments or EHS risks at the site are remediated and mitigated to acceptable levels. Escalate issues where resolution cannot be achieved at the site level with available resources. Lead investigations at the site for adverse events, service failures, and audit findings related to the role’s areas of responsibilities. Ensure root cause is determined, and corrective actions are identified in consideration with the hierarchy of controls. Provide technical input / Engineering assessments to capital projects with potential impact to electrical infrastructure and / or systems. Raise infrastructure projects to minimize the risk of safety and quality non-compliance, and to minimize the risk of business disruption Basic Qualifications We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field such as a science degree 5+ years’ experience delivery of electrical facilities and services. Experience managing the alignment of electrical facilities and services with local business needs and priorities. Experience managing cost, quality, and compliance metrics for electrical services. Experience collaborating with cross functional teams Preferred Qualifications If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Familiarity with utility systems and industrial utilities. Experience managing projects and working with cross-functional teams. Ability to address and resolve technical issues and challenges promptly. Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders. Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations. Experience with electrical system design, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Work arrangement This role is on-site and requires hands-on involvement with electrical equipment and site-based teams. Some travel between regional sites may be required.
