Job Description
Job Title – Sr. Electrical Estimator Location – Ozone Park, NY Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to play a critical role in driving the success of complex construction projects > Commercial, industrial, and institutional work. Ideal Candidate > brings a deep understanding of electrical systems and construction methodologies, along with the ability to translate design intent into actionable pricing strategies. Key Responsibilities: Lead the preparation of comprehensive cost estimates for large-scale electrical construction projects Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documentation to define full scope and identify risk factors Perform quantity takeoffs for power distribution, lighting systems, low-voltage systems. Develop complete pricing models including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor scopes Solicit, review, and level vendor and subcontractor proposals with project requirements Identify Cost Optimization and value engineering without compromising quality or performance Evaluate project risks and incorporate contingencies and strategic considerations into estimates Present bid packages, including participation in internal reviews and client-facing discussions Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients during the preconstruction phase Maintain and enhance estimating databases, historical cost records, and digital tools Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree 5 years in Electrical Estimating, ideally within a contracting environment Experience preparing estimates for complex or large-scale projects Proficiency industry software (such as Accubid, ConEst… ect ) Understanding of labor productivity, unit costs, and material pricing trends Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents Experience working in design-build or design-assist environments Familiarity with BIM and digital takeoff tools Negotiation skills and managing subcontractor and vendor relationships Pay: $1,400,000.00 - $1,600,000.00 per year Benefits 401(k) 403(b) Health insurance Paid time off Experience: Electrical Estimating: 5 years (Required) Commercial & Industrial Electrical Construction: 5 years (Required) Accubid / ConEst: 5 years (Required) Lighting & Low-Voltage Systems: 5 years (Required) Work Location: In person
