What Success Looks Like Every system leaves the shop working flawlessly, clean, and safe Builds are completed on schedule — up to two full installations per week Wiring is routed cleanly and every connection passes inspection The workspace is organized, tools are cared for, and materials are stocked You’re growing your skills and taking on more ownership over time What You’ll Own Install solar panels, lithium batteries, inverters, charge controllers, and distribution systems per provided wiring diagrams Perform precise wiring, crimping, and component securing — neat, organized, and built to last Test and commission every system before it leaves the shop Support the Lead Installer in troubleshooting and resolving any installation issues Document progress with notes, photos, and reports; double-check all work against design plans Set up, maintain, and break down the workspace and tools for every job Track commonly used materials; flag shortages to the Installation Manager Build custom enclosures, mounting surfaces, and backer boards as needed Quick Hits Location: Redmond, Oregon — on-site Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8am-6pm, three-day weekends every week Reports To: Installation Manager Tools & Equipment: All provided Training: Structured on-the-job training in off-grid electrical systems Compensation: $26-$28/hr, based on experience Benefits: PTO, company paid health/dental/vision, IRA with company matching Highlights: Dependable, Precise, Collaborative, Self-Motivated, Leaves Nothing Unfinished Must-Have Skills Accountable, dependable, and trustworthy — your team counts on you Detail-oriented and quality-driven — every system walks through our QC checklist before it leaves the shop Able to read and interpret wiring diagrams and visualize systems in three dimensions Familiarity with 12V / 24V DC systems or off-grid power components Comfortable following systematic procedures and maintaining consistent quality across all work Able to work as part of a team and independently manage your own tasks Comfortable with basic woodworking tools and concepts — building enclosures and mounting surfaces is a regular part of the work Physically capable of lifting heavy equipment, working in tight spaces, and performing hands-on labor Nice-to-Have Experience Some background in electrical systems, construction, or mechanical work — we will train the right person Experience with Victron or similar off-grid electrical products Prior work in a production or installation shop environment Why You’ll Love It Here EXPLORIST.life is a leading off-grid electrical education and installation company.
