Hi Professionals, Greetings from VegaIntellisoft Role : Electrical Lead Engineer Location : Atlanta, GA (Onsite) Duration : Full time Experience : 10 years needed Notes: The above rate is all-inclusive, covering the service rate, per diem, local commute, and taxi/rental car expenses for the onsite project. WE WILL NOT PAY ANY EXPENSES All overtime (over 50 hours and Public Holidays) will be paid at 1.5x the straight time rate. About the Role We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the design, execution, and commissioning of data center projects. This role requires strong technical expertise in electrical systems along with hands-on experience managing site activities, coordinating with trade partners, and driving projects on fast-track schedules. Responsibilities We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the design, execution, and commissioning of large-scale data center projects in a fast-paced, on-site construction environment. Strong technical expertise required in substations, medium voltage (MV) transformers, and electrical power distribution systems. Responsible for managing electrical load (kW/MW), capacity planning, and overseeing system energization activities, including first power (electrical firing). Act as the electrical lead on-site, tracking installation progress, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining adherence to project schedules and milestones. Coordinate with multiple trade partners, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth execution and alignment with project timelines. Manage aggressive project schedules, identify critical path activities, and proactively mitigate risks such as delayed or incorrect equipment deliveries. Work closely with commissioning teams to support data center commissioning activities and ensure system readiness and successful handover. Maintain and manage project documentation, including schedules, reports, and progress tracking. Participate in preconstruction planning, including scope definition, trade coordination, and resolving scope gaps or conflicts between different teams. Communicate effectively with project managers, stakeholders, and site teams to provide updates on progress, risks, and mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and construction site best practices. Take ownership of project-related responsibilities, including coordination, scheduling, and on-site problem-solving in high-pressure environments. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field required. Proven experience in data center projects, MV systems, substations, and commissioning environments is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of construction site operations and experience managing multiple trade partners is essential. Must be comfortable working full-time on-site in a dynamic and fast-paced construction environment.
