The opportunity The Electrical Project Engineer is primarily responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of capital projects safely to meet budget, schedule, and technical objectives at the mill. The Project Engineer will also provide technical assistance to Manufacturing and Maintenance. How you will impact WestRock: This list identifies the essential functions. Leads cross-functional teams in the development and implementation of a portfolio of capital projects. Leads all aspects of conceptual & preliminary design and core team selection and scope development. Leads all aspects of equipment and system selection, procurement, installation, checkout, and commissioning. Develops allocation/appropriation requests, creates, and tracks budgets and schedules. Develops management of change plan. Participates in post-startup tracking & evaluation of results and returns. Selects, leads, and manages multiple consulting and contract resources. Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations. Manages projects during power/recovery boiler annual outages. Manages projects during paper machine outages. Provides technical support to Maintenance Planners, Foremen, and to other Engineers. Follows mill\u2019s safety protocols in addition to following state and federal safety laws and regulations.
