Job Description
Primary Function: This position is responsible for new vehicle setup and repair, with a focus on electrical systems and vehicle modifications. Key Responsibilities Electrical System Setup & Troubleshooting : Install, maintain, and repair AC and DC electrical systems in emergency vehicles. Diagnose and repair electrical issues in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure all wiring and electrical components are correctly installed and meet industry standards. Automotive and Aftermarket Electrical Systems : Install and integrate aftermarket electrical systems, including communication equipment, emergency lighting, sirens, and other accessories. Ensure that all electrical systems work in harmony and meet customer specifications. Emergency Lighting and Sirens : Install and troubleshoot emergency lighting and siren systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with safety regulations. Offer expertise in integrating specialized lighting and siren controls for new vehicle setups. Cross-Disciplinary Knowledge : Perform minor carpentry tasks, including cabinetry and mounting equipment in vehicles. Assist with light plumbing and HVAC-related work in the vehicle setup process. Work collaboratively with the team on complex setups that may involve both electrical and mechanical systems. Continuous Learning & Development : Stay updated on the latest electrical technologies and aftermarket accessories as new systems come to market. Participate in training opportunities to expand technical knowledge and improve skills. Learn and adapt to new systems and innovations as they are introduced into the vehicle setup process. Customer Service and Collaboration Communicate effectively with the project manager to ensure all work is performed according to customer requirements. Assist with troubleshooting and on-site vehicle testing when necessary. All other duties as assigned. Requirements: Proven experience with AC and DC electrical systems, including automotive and aftermarket electrical systems. Basic knowledge of carpentry, light plumbing, and HVAC systems is a plus. Proficiency in automotive mechanical systems, diagnostics and repair. Ensure all work complies with Triple KKK standards. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment a plus. Experience: High School Diploma or GED and at least 2 years of experience in an electrical automotive environment or equivalent experience. Proficient in all intermediate repair disciplines (welding, carpentry, fabrication, knowledge of air brakes systems. etc.) and have a willingness to learn new systems as they relate to emergency vehicles.
