Job Description
Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrician to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various settings, including commercial, industrial, and construction sites. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient, and reliable electrical operations while adhering to all safety standards and electrical codes. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools and power tools across multiple environments. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and installation tasks. Test electrical circuits with tools such as ohmmeters and ensure compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Work with low voltage and high voltage systems safely, following all safety protocols to prevent hazards. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks in industrial settings. Collaborate with construction teams during renovation or new build projects to install electrical frameworks and systems. Conduct routine maintenance checks on electrical equipment and troubleshoot issues efficiently to minimize downtime. Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections completed, and parts used for each project. Skills Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems. Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Proficient in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, along with power tools required for installation and repairs. Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems along with NEC compliance standards. Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects within the construction industry. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation processes. Ability to use testing instruments such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively. Strong background in blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and framing carpentry related to electrical installations. Handyman experience or general construction skills that support versatile troubleshooting and repair tasks.
