Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various settings, including commercial, industrial, and construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute installation and repair tasks. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete electrical work on construction sites or renovation projects. Test electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to diagnose issues accurately. Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local safety regulations, including high voltage and low voltage standards. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to coordinate installation schedules and project timelines. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections for each project phase. Skills Extensive experience working as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings for accurate installations. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, high voltage wiring, and schematics. Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers as well as power tools like drills and saws. Ability to perform renovation work on existing electrical systems while adhering to safety standards. Experience working on construction sites with a focus on framing carpentry or handyman tasks related to electrical installations. Familiarity with NEC regulations governing electrical safety practices across various environments. Strong troubleshooting skills using testing devices like ohmmeters to identify faults efficiently. Previous experience working with schematics for complex electrical systems involving industrial or commercial applications. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments requiring attention to detail.
