Summary of Work At the North Dakota National Guard, we stand by our mission to provide ready units, individuals and equipment to support our communities, state, and nation. We are looking for a candidate who identifies with this mission and has a passion for serving the citizens in our great state as an Electrician III. This position will oversee and participate in providing all electrical work for the Camp Grafton Training Center and its noncontiguous training areas. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not all-inclusive. Troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical systems and controls. Implement a program of systematic maintenance checks and inspections on a wide variety of building systems. Plan, design and layout new electrical projects, estimating time, labor and materials. Must be able to perform and supervise the installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment. Supervise daily inspection of all heating and cooling systems controls. Ability to apply standards and specifications of the National Electrical Code. Set up and maintain ANDOVER BAS control systems. Perform supervisory duties to include daily assignments, performance evaluations and employee development. Experience in maintenance and repair of HVAC systems. Install air conditioning systems; oversee the use, storage, reclamation and disposal of refrigerants. Develop electrical safety program for all workers. Issue Electrical Wiring Certificates. Knowledge in Microsoft Office and Work Management software. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and bend, stand, and reach for extended periods of time. Exposure to loud noises and hot/cold temperatures. Ability to work in high and confined spaces. Must possess a valid ND driver's license. Perform travel in and around the state. Perform other related duties as required or assigned. Minimum Qualifications This position is being posted internally only to current state employees of the Office of the Adjutant General. The position requires licensure as a master electrician (NDCC 43-09-11). Successful completion of the interview process, reference checks and a background investigation are required.
