Electrician, Maintenacne Location US-FL-Eglin AFB ID 2025-5557 Category Customer Service/Support Position Type Full-Time Location Type Onsite Overview GRADE : Non-Exempt; Regular Full-time LOCATION : Eglin AFB, FL - On Site ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Work involves most of the following: installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment; working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment, working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment, and using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments. Additional skills require sufficient knowledge to adjust gear trains, cams, levers, etc. In general, the work of the maintenance electrician requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience. GENERAL DUTIES: This position is within the Support Department and will require overtime and shift work. The position will report to Range Services Supervisor and will primarily perform work assignments as part of an Electrical crew. Daily work is performed with the direction of the Lead Electrician and reports to Eglin AFB, FL, Main Base. An ideal Electrician candidate will perform a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electrical energy.
