Job Description
Alden Elementary School is seeking a highly qualified, certified Special Education Teacher (LTS) to cover a leave of absence on June 1, 2026 - June 23, 2026. Requirements Current certification from Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education with SEI Endorsement: Teachers of Students with Moderate Disabilities (Prk-8) Bachelor's Degree or higher from accredited college or university Experience with IEP development and data collection Management skills that support students social emotional learning Instruction and classroom management skills that support students' access to the general education curriculum content by providing specially designed instruction Collaboration with general education teachers to deliver universally designed instruction to all learners Experience meeting the needs of diverse learners in an elementary setting Experience in the adaptation and modification of curriculum and assessments Ability to plan and implement lessons that are aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks across varied subjects Citizenship, residency or work visa required Alden School is a grades 3, 4, 5 schoolcomprised of 620 students and 115 dedicated staff members Our school community believes in the values Responsibility, Empathy, Self-esteem, Courage, Patience, Effort and Teamwork.
