Department Primary Purpose: To lead students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth and maturation. Qualifications: Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree from accredited university Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned Experience/Knowledge Be knowledgeable in effective schools research, principles of accreditation standards, and Texas Education Agency requirements. Additionally, be knowledgeable in teaching techniques and methodology, in the physical, mental and emotional child development process, and special needs of exceptional learners. Major Responsibilities and Duties: Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and the times designated. Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning within the limits of the resources provided by the district.
