Emergency Medical Technician Duties · Respond to non-emergency calls, emergency calls, as well as public events, and provide medical assistance to patients in various settings, including homes, public areas, facilities, doctors' offices, and hospitals. · Assess patients' conditions and administer appropriate medical treatments and interventions. · Transport patients safely to and from medical facilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. · Communicate professionally and effectively with healthcare professionals, relay patient information, and follow medical protocols. · Perform basic life support techniques, as needed. · Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation. · Clean and restock medical supplies and equipment after each call. Requirements: · Valid & current South Carolina certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-Basic) or higher and BLS for Healthcare Provider card. · Strong knowledge of South Carolina emergency medical procedures and protocols. · Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in high-stress situations. · Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals. · Ability to represent the company professionally in person, by phone, by radio, and in writing.
