Job Overview Wayne Memorial Hospital, located in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, is a non-profit community hospital providing high-quality outpatient and inpatient care., the hospital offers comprehensive services, including a state-of-the-art Heart & Vascular Center, and rehabilitation programs, in house Hospitalists, and full time OB/GYN coverage. The hospital is a Primary Stroke Center and a STEMI receiving center. As part of the Wayne Memorial Health System, the hospital is committed to improving community health and well-being. We Are Seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians To provide compassionate and professional care to patients experiencing minor to severe illnesses and injuries proficiently triage and treat critically ill patients while making vital medical decisions quickly manage comfortable volumes of patient care in a dynamic setting with excellent physician and APP coverage be ready to display exceptional clinical integrity and professionalism in a patient-centered environment The physician will collaborate closely with care teams, support community health initiatives, and provide guidance and education to patients and families. Physicians have the support of a strong specialty practice network, including multiple subspecialists. Key Responsibilities Provide expert emergency medical care in high-pressure situations to patients Participate in providing daily overlapping physician coverage to allow for the best patient care Order, interpret, and follow up on laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic procedures Maintain accurate and timely electronic health record (EHR) documentation Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including nurses, medical assistants, and specialists, to ensure coordinated patient care.
