Job Description
Sales Executive (Producer) –Employee Benefits Location: Houston, TX Position Overview We are seeking a driven and entrepreneurial Sales Executive (Producer) to join our growing team in Houston. This role is focused on developing new business opportunities and building long-term client relationships within the middle market segment. We are looking for a sales professional with a proven track record of success in commission-based roles, demonstrated growth in a book of business, and the ability to effectively engage and advise business owners and decision-makers. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a strategic plan to generate new business within targeted industries and market segments Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects through networking, referrals, and direct outreach Identify client needs and deliver tailored risk management or employee benefits solutions Present and communicate complex insurance solutions to middle market business owners and executives Collaborate with internal service teams and carrier partners to deliver best-in-class client experience Maintain strong relationships with clients to support retention and long-term growth Qualifications 3–10 years of direct, commission-based insurance sales experience Demonstrated growth in a personal book of business and measurable sales (not serviced) production over time Proven ability to sell to and communicate with middle market organizations Strong business development, negotiation, and closing skills Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and high level of accountability Established professional network and connections within the Houston market strongly preferred Areas of Focus Employee Benefits (Group Health & Ancillary Programs) Compensation Compensation will be customized based on the candidate’s existing book of business and demonstrated growth potential , and may include a combination of base/draw, commissions, and performance-based incentives.
