About the Company: A rapidly growing Am Law 200 firm is expanding its Labor & Employment practice on the West Coast and is seeking a mid- to senior-level Employment Litigation Associate to join its Los Angeles office. The firm represents high-profile clients across industries and is known for its collaborative culture and strong growth trajectory. This is an opportunity to join a team that is actively building its presence in the region, offering high visibility and the ability to play a meaningful role in the growth of the office . Associates work closely with group leadership and are given hands-on responsibility early on. The firm is committed to professional development and offers a clear path to partnership, with conversations typically beginning around the sixth year. About the Role: This position offers a mix of employment litigation and counseling , with exposure to a diverse range of matters including wage & hour class actions and single-plaintiff employment cases. Responsibilities: Litigating employment matters including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage & hour class actions Drafting motions, pleadings, and other key litigation documents Taking and defending depositions Assisting with trial preparation and participating in trial proceedings Advising clients on employment-related issues and risk management Collaborating closely with partners and team members on case strategy Qualifications: JD from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials 5–8 years of labor & employment experience (litigation and counseling) Admission to the California Bar (required) Strong research, writing, and analytical skills Experience with motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation Ability to manage multiple matters and work both independently and collaboratively Required Skills: Excellent written and oral advocacy skills Strong organization and attention to detail Ability to take ownership of matters in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented mindset and commitment to client service Preferred Skills: Experience with wage & hour class actions Exposure to restrictive covenant matters and/or traditional labor issues Pay Range and Compensation Package: Competitive compensation Hybrid schedule (Wednesdays in-office plus additional in-office days monthly) Manageable billable target (~1,750 hours annually) Clear path to partnership with defined advancement timeline Opportunity to help grow a West Coast office within a national platform Hands-on experience working with high-profile clients and senior leadership
