Required Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent Healthcare Provider BLS certification Current New Mexico EMT Basic Licensure or National Registry of EMT's Basic License Preferred Qualifications: Healthcare related work or volunteer experience Duties and Responsibilities: Implements MD orders under supervision of an RN as allowed under this purpose description. The following list of skills and procedures is included: Splint application Wound irrigation and preparation for suturing 12 lead EKGs Foley catheter insertion Venipuncture for the purpose of obtaining blood samples Peripheral IV insertion once completion of training Point of care (POC) testing includes glucose, urine dip, strep, and pregnancy testing, iStat testing of venous and arterial blood samples and blood alcohol testing via breathalyzer analysis Upon initia
