Experienced EMT — Marion, Illinois VA Contract | 12-Hour Shifts (Days & Nights) | High-Standard Operations We are expanding under a newly awarded VA contract, and we are hiring experienced EMTs who understand what it means to operate with consistency, professionalism, and accountability. What You Can Expect 12-hour shifts with both day and night schedules available Steady call volume supporting veteran care Well-maintained equipment and organized operations Clear expectations and a team that values reliability A professional environment where your role matters Compensation and Benefits $18 – $22 per hour, based on experience Additional Health & Welfare wage of $5.09/hour (up to 80 hours per pay period) Overtime opportunities available Incentives tied to performance and dependability Health, dental, and vision benefits Ongoing training and advancement opportunities Role Expectations Provide safe, efficient BLS care and transport Assist paramedics during higher-acuity calls and interventions Maintain readiness of equipment, vehicles, and supplies Complete accurate and timely documentation Represent the company with professionalism on every call Minimum Qualifications Current EMT certification (Illinois or ability to obtain) Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Strong understanding of BLS protocols and patient care fundamentals Ability to work effectively in a team-focused, fast-paced environment Physical Requirements Ability to lift, move, and carry patients and equipment up to 150+ lbs with assistance Frequent bending, lifting, kneeling, and prolonged standing Ability to safely load and unload stretchers and equipment Work in varied environments including confined spaces and adverse weather Maintain stamina and focus during 12-hour shifts Who This Is For This role is for EMTs who show up prepared, take the job seriously, and want to be part of a dependable operation.
