Endodontist (part time) - School of Dental Medicine Apply Now 2/3/2026 LECOM Erie Dental Clinic 2000 West Grandview Boulevard Erie PA United States of America Education Part-time Description JOB SUMMARY: The Endodontist will specialize in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of any damage and/or injury to the tooth pulp, as well as, the tissue and nerves within and surrounding the root of a tooth that have become damaged or infected due to some type of bacteria. Part time position - up to 20 hours/week. CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assume quality of care for patients with endodontic problems while adhering to the highest standard of dental practice ethics and professionalism; Examines, diagnoses, and treats diseases of dental pulps and periapical tissues of teeth; Evaluates findings and prescribes method of treatment to prevent loss of teeth and to restore teeth to function; Examines, diagnoses, and treats diseases of nerve, pulp, and other dental tissues affecting vitality of teeth: Examines teeth, gums, and related tissues to determine condition, using dental instruments, X-Ray, and other diagnostic equipment; Diagnoses condition and plans treatment; Treats exposure of pulp by pulp capping or removal of pulp from pulp chamber and root canal, using dental instruments; Performs partial or total removal of pulp, using surgical instruments; Treats infected root canal and related tissues, and fills pulp chamber and canal with endodontic materials; Faculty member will contribute and be responsible for overall student success, including, but not limited to, advising and student outcomes; Faculty member will contribute directly to the Mission of LECOM embodying t
