Job Description
Pine Belt Mental Health Resources is now hiring for an Engagement Specialist to provide services to both adult and children in an office setting in Gulfport, MS. The Engagement Specialist will provide information/referral and resource coordination for individuals and/or his/her collaterals. Provides services that are directed towards helping the beneficiary maintain his/her highest possible level of independent functioning. Monitors the individual service plan and ensures team members complete tasks assigned. Ensures that follow up and follow through occur as needed. Engagement Specialist duties may be assigned in addition to other job duties as needed. For 50 years, Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources has served individuals throughout the Pine Belt. Through an extensive continuum of care, we strive to enable adults with serious mental illnesses, children with serious emotional disturbances, and individuals with an addiction or developmental disability to live, work, learn, and participate fully in their communities. Our eighteen county service area includes Amite, Franklin, Forrest, Hancock, Harrison, Jones, Lamar, Lawrence, Covington, Greene, Jeff Davis, Marion, Pearl River, Perry, Pike, Stone, Walthall, Wayne Counties. Requirements Master's degree in behavioral health field required Must have a professional clinical license or be eligible for a DMH Therapist Certification Must possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record Personal vehicle required to provide services in the community Behavioral health care experience preferred (but not a must) Responsibilities: Provides information/referral and resource coordination for individuals and/or his/her collaterals. Provides services that are directed toward helping the beneficiary maintain his/her highest possible level of independent functioning. Monitors the individual service plan and ensures team members complete tasks assigned. Ensures that follow up and follow through occur as needed. Facilitates pre-cert application process, monitors progress of applications, and educates and involves clients regarding approvals, denials, and appeals.
