What You’ll Do: Technical Vision and Strategy: Drive the technical vision for space-based electronic systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. Develop and execute technical roadmaps that drive innovation and competitive advantage. Complex System Design and Development: Lead the design and development of highly complex electronic systems, focusing on system-level and detailed circuit architectures. Ensure designs meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and efficiency. Advanced Technology Development: Spearhead the development of advanced technologies, including digital and analog design, high-speed communication interfaces, and signal processing architectures. Collaborate with internal and external partners to stay at the forefront of technological advancements. Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers and teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Develop and implement best practices, technical standards, and processes that drive consistency and quality. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams, which will include systems engineering, software development, and test engineering representatives. Ensure seamless integration of systems and drive technical decisions that meet customer requirements. Customer Engagement and Communication: Interface with customers to understand their needs, provide technical updates, and demonstrate system capabilities. Develop and present technical briefings, proposals, and technical reports to senior leadership and customers. Risk Management and Mitigation: Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks associated with complex system development. Develop and implement risk management plans that ensure system reliability and performance. Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule. Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment. Perform other duties as necessary. On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required. Working Conditions: Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment. May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required. May access other facilities in various weather conditions. Required Education, Experience, & Skills BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 6 or more years related experience. Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of educa
