Essential Job Functions AN ENGINEERING GEOLOGIST is responsible for performing a combination of the following essential job functions: Conducts engineering geology investigationsby acting as project manager, technical lead, technical peer reviewer; determining needs and requirements pertaining to the investigation (e.g., scope of work, design of an exploration program, selection of suitable exploratory techniques); reviewing and interpreting geologic and environmental materials. Provides construction servicesby preparing and reviewing memos (e.g., Preliminary Environmental Site Screening Memo) for all construction projects; reviewing design plans and specifications and conducting in-construction inspections for a variety of construction projects.
