ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

JOB The City of Dickinson is accepting applications for an Engineering Technician. This position supports City infrastructure projects through utility locating, inspections, GIS mapping, recordkeeping, and project coordination.Essential DutiesCoordinate utility locate requests through the ND One Call systemLocate water, sewer, storm sewer, street lighting, and signal lighting infrastructurePerform utility and concrete inspectionsMaintain project files and infrastructure recordsAssist with pavement management planning and the sidewalk programAssist with GIS mapping and infrastructure updatesMonitor work quality for compliance with City standardsPerform related duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredValid Driver’s License requiredStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to read maps, drawings, and specificationsAbility to work independently and outdoors in varying weather conditionsGIS or infrastructure experience is helpful but not requiredThis position includes field and office work and requires moderate physical activity, including walking, standing, lifting, and operating field equipment.
