Job Description The City of Dickinson is accepting applications for an Engineering Technician. This position supports City infrastructure projects through utility locating, inspections, GIS mapping, recordkeeping, and project coordination. Essential Duties Coordinate utility locate requests through the ND One Call system Locate water, sewer, storm sewer, street lighting, and signal lighting infrastructure Perform utility and concrete inspections Maintain project files and infrastructure records Assist with pavement management planning and the sidewalk program Assist with GIS mapping and infrastructure updates Monitor work quality for compliance with City standards Perform related duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Valid Driver’s License required Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to read maps, drawings, and specifications Ability to work independently and outdoors in varying weather conditions GIS or infrastructure experience is helpful but not required This position includes field and office work and requires moderate physical activity, including walking, standing, lifting, and operating field equipment.
