We are currently seeking an Engineering Technician I to join our dynamic team in Lancaster, PA. The Engineering Technician I (ET-I) , under the direction of the Cell Supervisor, is responsible in detailing, which involves drafting and modeling, of basic structural steel components. An ET-I must develop and utilize knowledge of High Steel fabrication and shop requirements to produce various detail drawings; develop proficiency in reading and interpreting design drawings and in applying company standards and various owner specifications for completion of detailing assignments; and work and communicate effectively within a team. QUALIFICATIONS An associate degree in a related technical field is preferred or a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required. Demonstrated competence in algebra, geometry and trigonometry. Basic proficiency with 2-D drafting or 3-D modeling software is required. Skill in reading and interpreting contract plans and other technical documents related to structural steel fabrication preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, an ability to work well within a team atmosphere, and an attention to detail. Aptitude to gain an understanding of various company information and technical systems. Proficiency in Windows operating system (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.).
