Entertainment Technician

We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and friendly individual to join our unique and increasingly popular DINOSAUR EXPERIENCE ENTERTAINMENT. The ideal candidate for our DINOSAUR PERFORMANCE TECHNICIAN will possess a passion for engaging audiences with captivating and unforgettable productions, except with a massive twist: you will be performing as a prehistoric dinosaur from within one of our super realistic "Dino Suits!" You will be in full control of one of our large costumes that are: Self contained Internally cooled Weigh 65 pounds And absolutely AMAZING to the masses! Job Type: Part-time Work Location: Many various client locations, mostly in greater San Antonio and Austin area Responsibilities Summary Perform live entertainment acts from within one of our impressive "Dino Suits" or as a "Dino Ranger" Puppeteer baby dinosaurs or remote control our juvenile dinosaurs as a "Dino Ranger" Maintain highly energetic and friendly personality with clients Help to set up/break down show, activities and equipment before and after events Collaborate with the production team to develop creative concepts for shows and multimedia content. Stay updated with management about events on the calendar. Take part in monthly training session to maintain quality performance Needed Qualifications Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record Must be able to drive to and from gigs/HQ Must be able to work in front of large crowds Must be able to easily carry 65 pounds on your back (Dino suits) Must be comfortable inside small spaces (Dino suits) Must have a height of 5' 8" to 6'1" without shoes (Dino suits) Must be willing to work outside in various Texas weather/temperatures Experience in performing arts or related fields is preferred but not mandatory A criminal background check may be done. Work is primarily on the weekends, but there are many opportunities for extra work during the busy seasons at libraries, HOA's, corporate events, birthdays, weddings and schools, and much more. The TECHNICIAN will work collaboratively with other team members to create memorable experiences that resonate with our audiences for years to come. The TECHNICIAN will be inside one of our "dino suits" for no longer than 15-25 minutes at a time with the assistance of fellow team members. When not in the "dino suit," the TECHNICIAN will perform as one of our "Dino Rangers" where they will be required to energetically puppeteer one of our baby dinosaurs or remotely control a juvenile dinosaurs and bring them to life! As the "Dino Ranger" they will also assist other team members when it is someone else's turn inside the "Dino Suits." These shows can be indoors or outdoors, so the TECHNICIAN will be working throughout the year in various Texas weather conditions and temperatures. It can get hot in Texas, and our clients are instructed to provide shade for our shows. These shows are performed in many different San Antonio/Austin/Texas locations, which are specific to each client. The TECHNICIAN will need to be flexible with differing environments, and work together with team members while setting up, performing, and breaking down shows. We promote a friendly working environment, but the TECHNICIAN must be able to take directions from supervisors and accept constructive critiques on work performance to maintain high quality performances.
