Description DCOMM is seeking a motivated and dependable Dispatcher / Administrative Assistant to support our field operations team in Ohio, Wisconsin, Missouri, and Pennsylvania. This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for someone looking to start a career in operations, dispatching, telecommunications, or construction support. In this role, you will assist with administrative tasks while learning the day-to-day responsibilities of dispatch operations that support broadband and fiber field teams. You’ll help coordinate schedules, communicate with technicians and leadership, update systems and records, and ensure information is organized and accurate. This position is designed to provide hands-on training and growth opportunities into a Dispatcher or Operations Coordinator role over time. The ideal candidate is organized, eager to learn, dependable, and comfortable communicating with both office staff and field personnel. Requirements YOUR ROLE IN ACTION Provide administrative support to Dispatch and Operations teams Assist with scheduling and routing field technicians and crews Answer incoming calls, emails, and messages from employees and customers Update spreadsheets, dispatch boards, and internal tracking systems Maintain accurate records of work orders, schedules, and project updates Communicate schedule changes and job updates to field personnel Support data entry and document organization for operations activities Learn dispatch procedures, scheduling processes, and field coordination Assist leadership with reporting, file management, and operational support Maintain professionalism and urgency in a fast-paced environment Perform other duties as assigned to support business operations What We’re Looking For Strong communication and organizational skills Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and willingness to learn Dependable attendance and strong follow-through Comfortable communicating with field employees and office staff Ability to handle changing priorities and schedules Previous office, customer service, administrative, or dispatch experience is a plus, but not required WHY JOIN DCOMM Entry-level opportunity with long-term career growth potential Hands-on training in dispatch and field operations Opportunity to learn the broadband and telecommunications industry Supportive team environment Stable, growing company with over 20 years of industry experience Opportunity to grow into Dispatcher, Operations Coordinator, or leadership support roles WORK ENVIRONMENT Office-based position Frequent communication with field technicians and leadership teams Fast-paced operational environment supporting active field projects Primarily seated/computer-based work with frequent phone and email communication Work Schedule This position follows a structured weekly schedule as outlined below: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., with an unpaid break from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday: 7:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Work hours and schedule may be subject to change based on business needs.
