Job Description
This individual will be supporting chemical waste-related activities in a warehouse environment.Associates degree and/or 2-3 years of experience required.Responsible for reviewing pre-manifest and creating manifests for all waste leaving the campus: Coordinate with Environmental Operations personnel to schedule waste pick-ups. Trouble shoot manifest/transport issues. Work with researchers to create new Waste Profiles and renew existing profiles. Complete weekly and semi-annual waste inspections. Manage Electronic recycling. IH, training, & special projects support Shares responsibility for the implementation of the EHS management system, in order to meet business objectives and to maintain the license to operate. Provides hands-on environmental, industrial hygiene, and health and safety activities for a specific plant. Requires established basic EHS skills to perform a range of routine work activities using existing standard EHS procedures and/or analytical scientific methods. Implements detailed, task level, day-to-day EHS programs, utilizing the EHS work process, standards and procedures. Ensures that the Environmental, IH, and Health and Safety aspects of operating discipline are adequate and applied to achieve EHS performance goals.In most cases, they would perform the role of section owner for the EHS sections of operating discipline. Acts as the Plant resource for related EHS information on procedures, guidelines and standards. Serves as plant contact for Environmental, IH, and Health and Safety issues.Coaches teams and individuals on EHS related tasks and activities. Assists in developing and achieving area or plant EHS goals. Ensures compliance tasks are completed. Coordinates certain Environmental and IH monitoring, data collection, analysis, and reporting for the Plant.Requirements: Completion of Short-Cycle Tertiary Degree (i.e.Associate's Degree) in related field 2years of EHS, manufacturing or other related experience preferred in a lab or manufacturing setting.Pay:$30.00 - $33.70 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
