Job Description
Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager Location: Mountain West Region (Multi-State Travel Required) Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000 + bonus + industry leading benefits About the Role Workspire is partnering with a leading construction organization seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to support safety performance across a multi-state operating region. This role serves as a key partner to field leadership and operations teams, driving safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing scalable safety programs across a diverse portfolio of active job sites. The EHS Manager will play a hands-on role in elevating safety standards, reducing risk, and embedding best-in-class safety practices into day-to-day operations. Responsibilities Safety Program Leadership Lead the development and execution of regional safety programs across multiple active job sites Promote a proactive, behavior-based safety culture aligned with company values and field operations Serve as a trusted advisor to operations leadership on all safety-related matters Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and applicable state and federal safety regulations Conduct regular job site audits, inspections, and risk assessments Identify potential hazards and implement corrective and preventative actions Incident Management & Reporting Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis and documentation Track and analyze safety metrics, trends, and leading indicators Implement continuous improvement initiatives based on safety data insights Training & Development Design and deliver safety training programs, including new hire onboarding and ongoing field education Support field teams in maintaining proper certifications and safety standards Coach and develop field safety personnel to strengthen regional capabilities Operational Partnership Collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, and field teams to embed safety into project execution Support pre-job planning, safety planning, and job hazard analysis (JHA) processes Partner with leadership to align safety performance with operational goals Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or related field preferred 7+ years of progressive experience in construction or industrial safety leadership roles Strong knowledge of OSHA and MSHA regulations within project-based environments CHST, CSP, or equivalent certification preferred (or ability to obtain) Experience supporting multi-site or regional safety operations Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both field teams and executive leadership Willingness to travel regularly across assigned region Workspire Insight At Workspire, we partner exclusively with organizations that value experienced leadership, operational discipline, and long-term investment in talent.
