Employer Industry: Public Health Why Consider This Job Opportunity Opportunity for career advancement and growth within a vital public health initiative Supportive and collaborative work environment with a focus on community health Chance to make a significant impact on the quality of drinking water for Rhode Islanders Engage in meaningful work that supports public safety and well-being Involvement in diverse projects related to drinking water quality and infrastructure funding What To Expect (Job Responsibilities) Provide project support for program requirements related to the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) and Emerging Contaminants in Small or Disadvantaged Communities Grant (EC-SDC) Review and approve project compliance and eligibility determinations for SRF and EC-SDC projects Maintain project plans and prioritize projects under the DWSRF Coordinate with RIDOH engineers, state agencies, and public water systems to facilitate program implementation Assist in developing guidance, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other documentation to enhance program efficiency What Is Required (Qualifications) Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, one of the Social Sciences, or a closely related field Experience in program development within a human services context Thorough knowledge of program planning and development principles Ability to evaluate existing programs and develop plans for improvement Strong interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships with various stakeholders How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) Experience working with state agencies or community organizations in a public health context Familiarity with federal and state regulations regarding drinking water quality Skills in project management and strategic planning Ability to mentor staff and support process improvement initiatives Knowledge of community resources and their interrelationships #PublicHealth #DrinkingWaterQuality #ProgramDevelopment #CommunityHealth #CareerOpportunity #PinnacleMethodConsulting
