Job Title: Environmental/Safety Manager - Facilities Support Services Job Summary: Promote a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace in support of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) and Naval Weapons Station in Charleston, SC. As DAWSON's Environmental/Safety Manager, you will oversee environmental compliance, occupational health, and site safety programs across all facilities support functions. Your leadership ensures adherence to OSHA, EPA, and federal guidelines-protecting employees, government property, and the surrounding environment. Location: Charleston, SC Responsibilities: Manage site-wide environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Develop, implement, and maintain the Safety Plan, Environmental Compliance Plan, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and safety training programs. Oversee hazardous waste handling, storage, and disposal in accordance with 40 CFR 265.16 and other EPA standards. Conduct routine facility safety inspections, environmental audits, and risk assessments across all operational areas (maintenance, custodial, grounds, and warehouse). Coordinate and track staff certifications in OSHA, including a 30-hour OSHA outreach Training Program, confined space entry, fall protection, PPE, and spill response procedures.
