Maintains a safe, clean, and sanitary environment by cleaning patient rooms, operating rooms, public areas, restrooms, offices, and ancillary spaces daily. Performs environmental services duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, wall washing, scrubbing, bed making, trash disposal, and linen collection. Demonstrates knowledge of infection control, isolation procedures, hazardous material handling, and proper operation of cleaning equipment and supplies. Responds promptly to overhead pages, emergency situations, and hazardous conditions while ensuring environmental services carts and closets remain secure. Stocks and maintains cleaning carts with necessary paper products and cleaning solutions while traveling to assigned areas and supporting departmental operations as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Able to communicate in English. [Required] Must be able to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets, product labels, various reports and do basic arithmetic. [Required] Must be able to follow oral, written assignments and have full knowledge of basic environmental duties.
