Position Summary Join Our Team at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Woment & Babies! Position Summary The Environmental Services Technician lll isresponsible for executing the daily dutiesrequired to establish and maintain a safe, clean, and healing environment. The EVS Tech III has contact with patients, visitors, and clinical and non-clinical staff. Contact may include physical, psychological, educational, and safety related interactions and is appropriate to the specific demographics of patients served in assigned service areas. The role is responsible for transporting regular waste, soiled linen, weighing and recording clean linen, biohazardous waste, recycling waste, maintenance of trash containers, and performing routine manual tasks inside hospital, and operates trash dumpsters,scales, and packages bio-waste for shipping. Schedule: Mon-Fri 10:30pm - 7am with rotating weekends Physically demanding position - responsible for removing all waste from soiled utility rooms throughout the hospital. Patient Population Served Women and Babies: The hospital specializes in the healthcare needs of women and newborns. o Labor and Delivery: Comprehensive care for expectant mothers, including highrisk pregnancies. o Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU): Specialized care for premature and critically ill newborns. o Gynecology: Services include minimally invasive surgery, urogynecology, and pelvic health. o Breastfeeding Education: Support and education for new mothers on breastfeeding practices. o Counseling Services: Emotional and psychological support for patients and their families. Transports regular waste, bio-hazardous waste, and recycling waste to the designated collection location and prepares for transport in accordance with Department of Transportation and Department of Health standards. Maintains a clean and safe environment around the linen room, dumpster/bio-trailers area, and/or designated areasto leave the area clean and litter-free. Emptiestrash containers and cleansthem so they are free from spills and marks. Operates outside cleaning equipment, such as, but not limited to, pressure washer, leaf blower, Billy Goat, and cart washing machine. Takes a proactive approach to maintaining the identified patient
