Summary This EEO Specialist (Senior Policy Advisor) position is located in the DEA, Office of the Administrator, Equal Employment Opportunity Office. This position's primary purpose is to serves as a subject matter expert and provides authoritative advice to the EEO Officer and EEO staff with respect to policy questions, regulations, practices, or other matters falling within the purview of the EEO Office. Responsibilities As a (Senior Policy Advisor) your typical work assignments may include: Reviewing formal EEO complaints, drafting correspondence to accept or dismiss complaints, reviewing Reports of Investigation (ROIs) for legal sufficiency consistent with regulations. Providing EEO guidance to internal and external stakeholders, particularly with regard to sensitive, controversial, novel or precedent setting matters. Analyzing and interpreting complex regulations, policies, judicial and administrative decisions to develop DEA policies, guidelines and procedures. Providing interpretation and implementation strategies for Federal statutes, court decisions, and relevant administrative rulings. Have at least one full year of specialized experience that is at least equivalent to work performed at the GS-12 grade level.
