This position REQUIRES a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B, with Endorsement N (Tank vehicles 1,000 gallons or more capacity), and no restrictions relating to codes E (manual transmission), L (air brakes), and Z (full air brakes) at the time of application. Duties Summary Operates of TWO (2) or more types of motorized equipment such as trucks, backhoes and tractors/excavators having a factory rated capacity of 1 1/2 but less than 5 tons as a major work assignment; may perform manual work task in connection with general construction and maintenance work; and performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualification Requirements To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements: Legal Authorization to Work Requirement : The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States. Experience and Training : One (1) YEAR of work experience involving the operation of at least two of the motorized equipment representatives of the class Equipment Operator II (e.g., trucks having a factory rated capacity of 1-1/2 but less than 5 tons, and rollers under 5 tons ), or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Commercial Driver's License (CDL): At the time of application , applicants must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Class B, with Endorsement N (Tank vehicles 1,000 gallons or more capacity), and NO restrictions relating to codes E (manual transmission), L (air brakes), and Z (full air brakes). NOTE: If a copy of your CDL is NOT SUBMITTED at the time of application, your application will be REJECTED. A valid out-of-state CDL may also be accepted. If you are selected for this position, you must transfer your out-of-state CDL to a Hawaii-issued CDL prior to your employment start date and within 30 days of arriving in Hawaii.
