Job Description
General Function: The City of Homestead is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join the department of Innovation and Technology as an ERP Systems Administrator. The ERP Systems Administrator is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, security, and optimization of the City’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, with a focus on CentralSquare NaviLine and supporting IBM mainframe operations. This role ensures reliable system performance, supports departmental users, manages data integrity, and coordinates upgrades, integrations, and enhancements to support citywide operations. Reports To: DoIT Assistant Director Supervisory Responsibility: None Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage daily operations of the NaviLine ERP system, ensuring availability, performance, and data integrity. Configure, maintain, and update NaviLine modules including finance, payroll, procurement, utility billing, customer service, work order management, among others. Implement ERP software updates, patches, and new modules; conduct testing to ensure functionality and compatibility. Maintain user access controls, permissions, and security roles within NaviLine. Train end users on ERP functionality and best practices. Document ERP processes, workflows, and system configurations. Monitor and resolve ERP-related support tickets, system errors, and performance issues. Participate in the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of IBM mainframe systems supporting ERP workloads. Monitor system performance and conduct regular audits to identify issues or improvement opportunities. Assist with installation, configuration, and upgrades of mainframe system software. Support batch job scheduling, online transaction processing, and workload management. Collaborate with mainframe roles such as system operators, application programmers, and production control analysts to ensure smooth ERP operations. Help maintain mainframe security, user provisioning, and operational documentation. Type of Appointment/Work hours: Full-time/Regular position. Standard workweek, which is forty (40) hours of work per week usually consisting of five (5) days of eight (8) hours per day. The workday may be varied for the efficient delivery of public service. Will be required to work other than the standard workweek on occasion, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in computer support or related technical roles. Strong proficiency in ERP Systems, such as Naviline or similar products. Proven experience in ERP data management, Report writing, and system administration. Proven experience in IBM Power Systems and OS400 operating system. Understanding of Storage Area Networks. Understanding of Cloud based Solutions. Knowledge of local area and wide area network administration. Experience working in a multi-faceted real-world environment. Must possess a valid state of Florida Driver’s license with a clean driving record. Must be able to read, write, and comprehend verbal and written instructions.
