Permanent Paraprofessional An ESS paraprofessional assists the classroom teacher to provide extra support to students with special needs, promoting maximum academic and personal growth. The paraprofessional job responsibilities range from supplementing regular classroom curriculum to helping individual students. Paraprofessionals are also known as school aides, teacher assistants, instructional aides, one-to-one aides, and personal care assistants. While applicants may be considered for permanent roles, the District retains full authority to determine permanent placements based on current needs and eligibility. This is a full-time, 40 hour a week position.
