The Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile (ESSM) program team has an exciting opportunity for a Program Cost Controls Lead (P4) that is part of the fast-growing Shipboard Missiles SSBU within the Naval Power Business Unit. This Lead role offers a unique opportunity to support a $450M+ Japan Block 2 Licensed Production award with multiple future years of expected business. The DCS contracts will run concurrent NSPO production programs valued greater than $2B while helping establish program controls and ensuring successful start-up execution. Responsibilities include management of analysis of program performance, utilization of SAP (APEX/PRISM/BW), quarterly EACs, monthly forecasting including tracking variances, and interfacing with Program Management and Cost Account Managers. This program opportunity offers a unique opportunity to connect and collaborate with US based program management; Japan based program management and the Japan customer on a continuing basis. Successful execution and management of this program will be a key focus both internally and externally. The Cost Controls Lead will have the opportunity to work closely with leadership in decision making in a high growth environment. What You Will Do The ideal individual for this job will be an excellent communicator with a desire to learn and be challenged, the ability to work on a range of tasks, and the ability to interact with a variety of management levels and customer counterparts. In addition, professional and effective communication skills are required due to the frequent interaction with Program, Shipboard Missiles SSBU and functional leadership. The individual selected will ensure all financial data is accurate, relevant and appropriate for the respective audience. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business-related field is required and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years finance/accounting work experience. Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (Contracts, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain). U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. Qualifications We Prefer Experience working independently and with higher levels of management. Ability to effectively work in a challenging and fast paced environment. Experience preparing EACs. Extensive experience preparing and processing Agent Commissions. Communicate effectively with peers, leadership and customer. Analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills. Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint). Experience training finance team members in tools and processes. Experience with SAP Business Systems (APEX, PRISM, BW) or similar tools. Understanding of AOP and Long-Range Planning, program forecasting and metrics. Fluent Japanese.
