Come build the Extraordinary with us. Apply today! Nature of Work Responsible for performing tasks to complete the estimating process. These tasks include quantity take-offs, estimate document and drawing organization, bid invitation management to vendors, suppliers, and trade partners, and other tasks related to the process. This position is generally overseen by an estimating leader. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist with review of proposal selections / drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. Assist with scope of work process and compliance for all subcontractors. Perform quantity take offs per plans and specifications. Review and understand plans and specifications for each project assigned. Carry out estimating project approach. Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates. Solicit subcontractor and supplier bids and interface with their representative. Participate in compiling technical responses and qualifications for RFP’s and RFQ’s. Utilize estimating software and conform to established policies and procedures. Participate in pre-bid meetings, bid strategy and bid review meetings as requested. Assist with prospects/clients contact to obtain bids and confirm pricing. Conducts actions in a professional and unbiased manner. Complies with all company and site policies and best practice standards. Continuously develops proficiency and understanding in the role. Maintains a professional appearance and workspace. Participates in and complies with all company safety and quality programs and procedures. Promote the company safety culture and safety awareness throughout the company, projects, or office. Utilizes relevant company technology to support all assigned responsibilities. Exercise initiative or, as directed, perform additional duties to meet the needs of the organization. Ability to quickly and effectively solve complex problems. Education Bachelor's degree from 4-year college/university or equivalent experience. Experience 1 year or more of related work experience preferred. Other technical experience such as military, on the job training programs, etc. may meet this requirement as determined by local management. Physical Demands and Working Environment Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds. May require periods of overnight travel. Normal office environment. Frequent activity: Sitting, Viewing and Typing on Computer Screen. Occasional activity: Standing, Walking, Bending, Reaching above Shoulder.
